The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff's training, professional credentials and work experience.

Dr. Stuart McNally
General Dentist

Dr. McNally was born in southwest Missouri and at three moved with his family to a small town in Pennsylvania which had a very high ratio of healthcare workers as it was the home of an extensive children's research hospital. He and his family volunteering at camp for kids
with cancer in the summers and the neighborhood filled with physicians and trauma nurses are likely what shaped his and his little sister’s paths to health care as she is a surgeon in KC. The family eventually moved back to his hometown, Pittsburg, Kansas. He moved to Omaha in order to attend Creighton University and
met his wife during their freshman year.

Dr. McNally never left Omaha, completing his undergraduate degree at Creighton, marrying Clancy who is a pediatrician with Children’s Physicians, and continuing on at Creighton to receive his Doctoral of
Dental Surgery. He now considers Omaha his home as he has lived in Omaha for over half his life living longer here than he has anywhere else. He and his wife are raising their two kids, and their activities and their three dogs take up the majority of their free time. Their son is involved in competitive gymnastics and their daughter is always to be found either training the hunting dogs with her dad or with her volleyball, constantly being bumped or set overhead.

Dr. Stuart J. McNally earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Creighton in 2001 before completing his DDS at Creighton in 2005. As an undergraduate he worked as a teaching assistant in biology, which
included a trip to Roatan, Honduras, to support a marine and freshwater lab and during his time as a student in dental school, Dr. McNally also served as a teaching assistant in periodontics. While he never left private practice the draw of teaching was too strong possibly and disturbingly from spending most summers moving his mom (a teacher of over 41 years) in and out of classrooms. Initially, he volunteered one day a week at the dental school, eventually joining full-time in 2007 at the request of the Dean. He always maintained a part-time private practice; he joined Millard Hills in 2008.

Dr. McNally is a member of the American Dental Association and the Nebraska Dental Association, and
the Omaha District Dental Society.   He also serves on the Douglas County Board of Health. Dr. McNally served
the School of Dentistry faculty full-time from 2007 - 2017 eventually awarded tenure and the rank of Associate Professor of General Dentistry. He was the director of the Sophomore restorations course and the Emergency Dental Clinical courses for both the junior and senior students. He also made several trips to the rural villages of The Dominican Republic where he and students would live in the locals’ homes and provide modern dentistry running off a generator. Dr. McNally enjoys a large number of hobbies similar to Dentistry he also enjoys the toys he accumulates that coincide with
his hobbies, “you can’t do the job right without the right
tools”. He was also active in Dental Research presenting his research both nationally and internationally.

Dr. McNally’s hobbies have shrunk, as he is truly blessed to spend the majority of his time with his family traveling across the US for gymnastics meets and around town to watch his daughter’s volleyball matches. He spends most nights splitting up the practice carpools with is busy wife. He truly and honestly feels blessed to have two families, his wife, and kids, and his practice family, he enjoys seeing the kids of the practice growing as much as his own. Although I think we would all agree sometimes we wish time would stop as they
all grow too fast.
